anti-parasitic ++++ (thymol)	essential oils containing phenols, and in particular a high percentage of thymol, are the best known aromatic parasiticides, and Thyme essential oil is one of them.
broad-spectrum antibacterial (thymol, γ-terpinene, paracymene)	phenols such as thymol are the most powerful anti-infective molecules: they kill germs directly by destroying their cell membrane.
antiviral, immunostimulant (thymol)	increases the body's defences against pathogens
fungicide (thymol)	this molecule is active against fungi of the genera Aspergillus, Penicillium, Alternaria, Ulocladium, Absidia, Mucor, Cladosporium, Trichoderma, Rhizopus and Chaetomium

INDICATIONS OF THYME THYMOL ESSENTIAL OIL

HEALTH	-Intestinal infections: dysentery, colitis, infectious diarrhea, amoebiasis -Gastric problems: flatulence, spasms, infections, stomatitis, gastritis, enterocolitis, colitis -Urinary tract infections: cystitis, urethritis -Bronchi and respiratory tract complaints in general : bronchitis laryngitis, sinusitis, cough, nasopharyngitis, angina, pneumonia, tuberculosis
WELL BEING	-Nervous complaints : nervous and brain fatigue, depression, neurasthenia, mental fatigue

PRACTICE

Angina, bronchitis, flu, sinusitis: add 1 drop EO in 20 drops VO, then massage on the sole feet 2 times a day during 3 days.

or in a 10ml bottle, pour 10 drops thyme thymol EO + 20 drops eucalyptus globulus, then complete with VO to completely fill the bottle. After that, massage on the chest twice a day for 5 days

Fatigue: dilute 1 drop in 20 drops VO and then massage the back and the soles of the feet

CAUTION

Very potent oil (= oregano, winter savory or cinnamon) ONLY FOR ADULTS AND FOR DIFFICULT AND URGENT CASES

• Skin irritative, do not use pure: in other words, make a strong dilution in vegetable oil, dilute at a maximum 5% in vegetable oil for use on the skin
• Delicate liver, do not use in self-medication
• Do not diffuse pure, mix with other oils (part thyme in the mixture 10% max)
• Asthmatics should ask their GP before using this oil
• Avoid oral usage.

STORAGE CONDITIONS

Keep in the original bottle, away from air and light, at a temperature below 25C
