It is of synthetic origin but is readily accepted by organic cosmetic companies.<\/p>\n<p>INCI :\u00a0benzyl alcohol, dehydro-acetic acid, water<\/p>\n<h4><u>PROPERTIES<\/u><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Broad spectrum anti-bacterial and anti-fungal, it, therefore, stops the spread of bacteria, yeasts, moulds in all cosmetic products containing water.<\/p>\n<h4><u>USAGE<\/u><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Preservation of emulsions (creams, milks)<\/li>\n<li>Preservation of cleansing products (shampoos, shower gels, make-up removers)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Instructions for use<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Its usage is very simple: you add it to your preparation following the dosage indicated below.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Recommended dosage for the preservation of your homemade cosmetic: 0,6 % of the total weight of your preparation.<\/p>\n<p>(1 ml = about 30 drops)<\/p>\n<p>EX. for 100ml of product, count 0,6 ml or 17 to 18 drops.<\/p>\n<p><u>general characteristics of cosgard<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Soluble in water and in alcohol<\/p>\n<p>Not soluble in oil<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If your product contains only oily substances (oils, butters, waxes), do not use this preservative. It is preferable in this instance to use EOs at 1,5 % minimum or <a href=\"https:\/\/catchymarketing.com.au\/pacific\/product\/vitamin-e-3\/\">vitamin E<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4><u>PRECAUTIONS<\/u><\/h4>\n<p>&#8211; keep out of reach of children<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; do not swallow (harmful), do not inhale, avoid eye contact<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; respect the recommended dosage<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Beware, benzyl alcohol is potentially allergenic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We recommend, like with EOs, to carry out an allergy test in the crook of the elbow (test of the finished product or of the preservative diluted at 1%). After that, you need to wait then at least 24 h (ideally 48 h) to notice an eventual reaction.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><u>Good to know<\/u><\/h4>\n<p>Pure Cosgard is incompatible with PET type plastics.<\/p>\n<p>Do not pour Cosgard in bottles of crystal PET, white PET and blue PET and do not add it to a hydrolat or any other preparation directly into the bottle.<\/p>\n<p>How to go about it:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Firstly, put the product (hydrolat \u2013 non-refrigerated \u2013 or preparation at room temperature) in a stainless steel bowl<\/li>\n<li>Secondly, add the preservative<\/li>\n<li>Shake vigorously until the Cosgard is completely dissolved<\/li>\n<li>Pour the product into the bottle<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once the Cosgard is completely dissolved in the preparation, there should be no issue regarding the PET bottle.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><u>PRESERVATION<\/u><\/h4>\n<p>Keep at room temperature away from dampness and light.<\/p>\n<p>Always remember to close the bottle tightly after use.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Liquid preservative for emulsions<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":16265,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":[],"product_cat":[91,294],"product_tag":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.7 -
